    • Plastics Process Engineer

      Main Responsibility:

      The Process Engineer is responsible for evaluating existing processes and configuring manufacturing systems to reduce cost, improve sustainability and develop best practices within the production process.

      Essential Duties:

      • Set-up, sample, and establish good molding parameters on all new, revised, and repaired tooling
      • Establish optimum processing conditions and re-evaluate on an on-going basis
      • Continuous training and educating of set-up personnel on processing principles and methods
      • Perform cycle reductions, assist in troubleshooting, and fine tuning of production molding tooling
      • Interact with, and advise the tooling and design departments regarding tool design issues
      • Utilize design of experiments when applicable to assist in establishing processing controls
      • Evaluate and improve on processes in manufacturing systems.
      • Maintain reliable and safe manufacturing systems while improving production rates, efficiencies, yields, costs and changeovers.
      • Develop innovative solutions.
      • Improve process capability and production volume while maintaining and improving quality standards.
      • Prepare samples for study.
      • Perform shrinkage and strength testing.
      • Collect, record, and transcribe data.
      • Show results in reports.
      • Maintain testing equipment.
      • Perform new color and raw material testing.
      • Develop and implement systems that optimize all phases of production process.
      • Provide suggestions during incident investigations.
      • Advise on corrective actions.
      • Utilize six-sigma quality tools, when appropriate, to define, measure, analyze, improve and control processes and outcomes.

    • Senior Machinist

      Main Responsibility:

      Toolmakers fabricate production, prototype and R&D parts by setting up and operating a variety of precision machines. Works to very close tolerances with minimal supervision. Participates in the design & manufacturing of tools to enhance productivity and quality.

      Essential Duties:

      • Perform precision machining on lathes, mills, and grind machines for tooling – applying knowledge of basic shop math and machine layout procedures.
      • Set-up and run superior quality complex parts and maintain standard rates. High mix, low volume supplier.
      • Use shop math to compute information relating to work such as, feeds, speeds, angles, tooling locations & missing dimensions.
      • Will program CNC lathes and mills.
      • Work from blueprints and rough sketches to produce tooling and machine parts in accordance with specifications.
      • Produce high quality machined prototypes
      • Requisition required tooling and material
      • Document job processes
      • Execute jobs efficiently
      • Operate equipment properly and keep it clean
      • Help maintain and troubleshoot equipment
      • Record hours spent on jobs and accurately log in Epicor System
      • Achieve required lead times or advise superiors so alternative plans can be made

      • Experience on lathes, mills, and grind machines.
      • Knowledge of different alloys.
      • Must be able to read blueprints and rough sketches. Demonstrated working knowledge of GD&T.
      • Excellent math skills (including geometry & trigonometry).
      • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in the English language.
      • Must be able to stand in one place for long periods of time.

    • CNC Machinist/Programmer

      Main Responsibility:

      Manufactures custom quality machined models utilizing CAD/CAM software and CNC machining. Model makers will document and whenever possible, improve processes required to produce models and to set-up machining operations.

      • Requisition required tooling and material

    • Injection Mold Machine (IMM) Operator

      Main Responsibility:

      The Injection Mold Machine (IMM) Operator visually inspects, does some manual operations and boxes plastic parts as they are ejected from molding presses.

       Essential Duties:

      • Responsible for the molding of small to midsize plastic parts to job packet requirements
      • Visually identifying and separating visually nonconforming parts
      • Performing manual operations as specified
      • Daily checking and understanding of posted job assignments and necessary information related to the job
      • Communicate with Product Handler or Shift Supervisor to trouble shoot any problems with job
      • Obtain any supplies or documentation if needed
      • Maintain proper quality and quantities of molded materials
      • Visually inspect parts during press run
      • Take appropriate action when bad parts are identified
      • Maintain accurate counts and documentation such as records and labels
      • Understand and comply with 5s duties and checklists
      • Prepare incoming shift such as making up boxes and provide packaging materials
      • Assist in training as requested
      • Notify supervisor of all unsafe / hazardous conditions or defective equipment and file incident/accident reports in accordance with established policies
      • Rotate from one job to another if needed
      • Utilize six-sigma quality tools, when appropriate, to define, measure, analyze, improve and control processes and outcomes.
      • Responsible to maintain & support processes, procedures & K.P.I.’s owned by your position.
